I started hostwell because I have always felt the most comfortable at home & have centered my life around it — from helping people buy and sell them as a Realtor, to DIY projects and renovations, to gathering friends and family around a table. But I also know how quickly hosting can go from exciting to overwhelming. One minute you’re dreaming up the perfect dinner party, and the next you’re knee-deep in lists, last-minute stress, and wondering why you thought this was a good idea.

hostwell was born out of a simple idea: dinner parties should feel doable, beautiful, and fun — not like a full-time job.

Hosting doesn’t have to be complicated. Here are five tried-and-true tips I swear by (and that you’ll find woven throughout my Dinner Party Playbook):
